After six exciting races, the Australian Sailplane Grand Prix Champion is Australian Geoff Brown. Mark Tingey from New Zealand took 2nd place followed by Sean Fidler from the USA in 3rd place. Both Mark and Sean now head to Benalla where they will compete in the World Gliding Championships 2 - 22 January.
The Grand Prix was held over seven days with six ‘first past the post’ races. Geoff had a slow start, not finishing the first race and coming in 9th on day two. However, he went on to win two of the remaining four races as well as taking a 2nd place, giving him the highest score over the entire contest.
